Barasch's Better Kids Clothes, located in Freeport, NY, was the oldest childrens' clothing store in the U.S. when it was run by Ira Bryck, 4th generation president and co-owner with his parents, Bill and Barbara. The semi-autobiographical family business play, "Tough Nut to Crack" by Ira Bryck, was based on the 17 years of partnership between the 3rd and 4th generation. Ira closed the store in it's 91st year and began the UMass Amherst Family Business Center.
